That said, we do not know the version of MBA that you are using but all of the MBAs from Mid 2009 onwards can support the latest version of OS X, 10.11.x with the earlier ones not giving a particularly good user experience.

The initial release of the MBA, January 2008, only supports up to OS X 10.7.5 P.

Now there are folk that must stay with what they have for any number of reasons but for a browser Id try other browsers and want to hear whats up with Safari.

I had heard that other users, such as me, also had problems with Safari opening certain pages within certain sites.

Ill let you know if this helps or maybe will end up upgrading to Yosemite, I dont know, that scares me.

While the developer is fixing the problem, try using an older version.
